You may request the Deferred Disposition option to the Court as an alternative to removing the violation from my record. If the Court grants your request, there may be additional requirements imposed as deemed appropriate during the probationary period. Included in the requirements is a special expense fee in addition to the court costs for your violation.
You must understand that Deferred Disposition is NOT ALLOWED for alcohol related offenses, passing a School Bus, any violation issued in a construction zone with workers present, speeding more than 24 miles per hour or for passing emergency vehicles.
For minors who receive a violation for minor in possession or driving under the influence or any tobacco related offense, it is a REQUIRMENT that you appear in person with this Deferred Disposition request.
Deferred Disposition is not an automatic option; it is up to the Judge's discretion based on the circumstances of your violation. You must submit the form above via email or postal mail by your appearance date to qualify. The Judge will take a look at your case and notify you if your request has been granted or denied.
